A Promise

Back in September, I started doing fabulous things to the Guest Room on the 2nd floor. Then Life got in the way and that project was quickly abandoned. Right now I'm actually in a bit of a quiet lull (well, everything's relative; what I really mean is that my working hours are back to being 8am-6pm instead of 6am-3am) and have been a bit antsy around the house. I'm hesitant to jump into a project only to have to abandon it at half-ass again, but I feel like I'm wasting precious free time just fussing around the house. So here's what I'm going to do.

I am going to finish the Guest Room by this weekend (Sunday, 12/2 - Hey! Amy's Birthday!). Even if I don't finish it by Sunday, I will post the big fat expose I have been planning about what I've been doing to the Guest Room. And oof, you don't even know how badly I don't want to post a half-expose. It makes my mildly-OCD forehead twitch.

Here's a preview/hint of what I've started but not finished:

I, for one, can not wait to see the expose at long last. Bring it on.

First time commenter here. Just stumbled across your blog while link surfing. Great house you have there!

We're local to you, and we've been working on our 1929 bungalow since we moved in two years ago. Difficult, since we've got three kiddos, but when is it easy?

I wanted to say that we have an IKEA kitchen that we put in late 2005/early 2006, and we really like it. Durable, quality, and cheap. Check out IkeaFans.com for more support - I found them very helpful.
