Saturday "hikes"

We've been heading out for "hikes" on Saturday mornings.  Sure, with a little kiddo in tow, it's not really hiking hiking, but "hike" sounds cooler than "nature walk."

We live near Frick Park (the side with the playground), and Adelaide and I head there nearly every day that the weather is cooperative.  This particular morning a few weeks back, some nice heavy fog was lifting.  We took a a loop through the woods, spying chipmunks and dogs.  Y'know: nature.

On another Saturday, we headed for Highland Park.  It's too bad I don't have any photos of their Super Playground... You can see it here and here.  It really lives up to its name!

We watched Adelaide run around in a field, and found a very pretty stone tunnel that, miraculously, did not smell like urine!  (Hey man, we used to live in New York.)

This fall has been particularly spectacular - long and colorful and cozy.  It's been great to get out in it while the weather is gorgeous!
